OPENING RECEPTION Friday, May 4, 2012 6PM-10PM
Another vibrant and intriguing exhibition is unveiled at daas Gallery in early May. Argentinean master, Marcelo Holzinger, debuts in Southwest Florida with his newest collection entitled Beauty|Passion|Dreams. The exhibition opens to the public on Friday, May 4 with an artist reception starting at 6:00pm. On display through May 26.
“My work is a natural extension of how I live my life, believing that there is beauty all around us. We only need to open our hearts to really appreciate it.” says the artist in reference to his magnificent and colorful pieces.
Holzinger began cultivating his artistic talents at a young age and followed this path throughout his early life. He earned a degree in Advertising and Design, worked as an art director and taught graphic design at the University of Buenos Aires. In his early years, he visited South America, Europe and the USA. The mix of cultures, art, architecture and especially the people in his travels greatly affected him as an artist and as an individual. He later embarked on his biggest challenge, alone. With a backpack and an English dictionary, he moved to New York where he continued to pursue his love for art and design. He later moved to Miami Beach, where he has branched out into Interior Décor while expanding his artistic skills as creative consultant for various organizations. His professional journey then led him to Houston, where he continued exhibiting his artistic creations. The artist has recently returned to the Miami he loves. His art has continued to be displayed in many galleries and prestigious world-class events. He has received accolades in national and international media. “I feel blessed to do what I love. I paint, create and dream with passion … and with the intention of living every moment of my life to the fullest.” adds the artist.
The artwork will be on display through Saturday, May 26, 2012. For more information about the event, please visit www.daasgallery.com. Regular gallery hours are Wednesday to Saturday from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
